Guarantor

A person or entity that makes a legally binding promise to be responsible for another person’s debt or performance under a contract if that person defaults payment or fails to perform the contract.

Personal Service

A method of delivery of court papers by handing it directly to the recipient.

Persons with disabilities

Persons with disabilities include those who have long term physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society – Persons with Disabilities Act 2008

Social Guarantor

A person who provides a guarantee for loan, scholarship, or grant for an educational purposes, hire-purchase transaction for personal or non-business use, or a housing loan for personal dwelling.

Substituted Service

A method of delivery of court papers instead of personal service. In Malaysia, it is normally effected by pasting a copy of said court papers at the relevant Court noticeboard, by pasting a copy of said court papers at the recipient’s address, and by advertising said court papers in main newspapers.
